Pop star slams Richard Wilkins for making serious accusation
<p>Entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins has received criticism from English singer Dua Lipa after he claimed she’d skipped out of her Australian touring commitments to appear on US television.</p>
<p>Wilkins made the strong claim on yesterday’s episode of the <em>Today</em> show, explaining that the singer was currently in Australia as the opening act for the Bruno Mars 24K World Tour.</p>
<p>“Dua Lipa cancelled her appearances last weekend, as a result of having to have immediate surgery to have her wisdom teeth removed. But get this, here she is last night on<em> Jimmy Kimmel Live!</em>”</p>
<p>Nine aired footage of Lipa performing her latest hit “IDGAF” on a Jimmy Kimmel episode that aired this week.</p>
<p>Wilkins said, “We were told that was live to air…”</p>
<p>Although Lipa did miss a few shows of the Australian tour, she angrily replied to Wilkins’ misinformed accusations on Twitter to set the record straight.</p>

<p>Wilkins responded to the tweet an hour later with an apology.</p>
<p>“Sincere apologies @DUALIPA. Didn't mean to misinform. Assumed you were live with Jimmy K. your fans and my son have severely castigated me!”</p>
<p>Last night, Lipa performed at a sold out headlining show at Sydney’s Big Top, Luna Park. </p>
